Today’s my last day at Twisted Pixel Games.
The last couple of years have been a blast, and I’m going to miss everyone here at Twisted Pixel tons. Wilford, Josh, and Frank are some of the best studio leadership dudes I’ve ever worked with, and the upcoming slate of Twisted Pixel magic is as fantastic as you’d expect. If they were hiring, this is where I’d link the Careers page and give an unreserved recommendation to apply. I was pretty happy, and I honestly thought something incredibly unique and amazing would have to come out of left field for me to even consider leaving.
Well, something incredibly unique and amazing became plausible a few months ago, and turned into reality soon after that. I can’t talk about it yet, but it’s a shift in what I’ve been doing for the past 15 years. It’s exciting and scary, which is exactly the kind of thing I love burying myself in.
In the meantime, I’m taking a small break before the next big thing. While a small part of that time will be actual relaxing and doing the Great American Road Trip, I’m also going to be dedicating a solid block of uninterrupted time to make the Super Drake Tracker 2000 EX
a reality. That whole Kickstarter has become an amazing snowball of wonderful Drake-related features, and it’s something that I’ll be able to give the proper amount of time and energy it deserves during my break. It’s going to be the most beautiful goof-related thing ever.
After that, though? Stay tuned!
